My shower couldn’t have been better! My sister and mom put it on and they did such a great job, and I am so grateful for them! I also had my two good friends in the photo above help with the food, my friend Nikki made the cupcakes. She is such a baker! She made all these cupcakes from scratch, and not only did they look super cute, they tasted amazing. Every single one. I won’t lie I had about 10 of them this weekend, and I don’t feel bad about it. 😉 For the other food details, we got that chocolate cake from Costco, my sister had made those pita sandwiches and salad, my friend Megan made the fruit kabobs. We had lemon water, and strawberry blueberry water, which if you haven’t tried that, you need to!
My cute grandma came which is shown in the picture above, and my step daughter Halle with the red hair! She is the cutest! I can’t wait for her to meet her baby brother! I loved all the little details for this shower. My sister framed all of my ultra sound pics and put them as a center piece on the tables with the pretty hydrangeas (which are my favorite flower of all time!) We had it in my backyard, and it couldn’t have turned out more beautiful. I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family. My sister is a saint for putting up with my crazy hormones throughout this whole planning process haha 🙂 Changing my mind on what I wanted and being so indecisive, she sure dealt with a lot, but she pulled through like she always does and it turned out so perfect! She did such a great job at putting it all together. We are only 16 months apart, so it basically feels like we are twins. She is my better half though haha! I love sister love. I also got to have my mom for the whole weekend! She lives in New Mexico, so I only see her once and month, and it was so fun putting everything together with her this weekend! She also, has been helping my sister with all the planning.
It is all starting to become more and more real every single week. I am getting so close, and he is going to be in my arms before I know it. I saved the best for last! I haven’t even set up his nursery. I have things planned but I wanted to save it for the last, so I have something to keep me busy and excited, so I am not waiting and waiting anxious with my big belly! Even though I will probably end up doing that. So far this has been the best time of my pregnancy. I actually have never slept better.. Minus the bathroom breaks…Weird right? Maybe it’s the pregnancy pillow, I don’t know but I don’t have a hard time sleeping… hopefully I just didn’t jinx myself ! This stage has been the best! I love the size of my belly right now, and dressing it is actually pretty fun! (don’t hate me pregnant mamas) I do still have the crazy heartburn, but mostly I am just enjoying and loving it!
