CODE SALON + HAIR TIPS

photo-2B1-2
Hey guys!  I wanted to introduce to you my hair stylist Chelsey’s new salon called CODE in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.  I am the biggest fan of her cute new salon.
Basically the vibe there is just hanging out at your girlfriends house, drinking coffee and chit chatting.  I love going there just to hang out.  I wish I needed my hair done everyday!
Honestly, I have never been so happy about my hair.   She can do it all.  NO joke.  You tell her what you want and it’s everything you hoped for and MORE.  She’s awesome.

I have been getting a ton of questions on my color and what I have done to it.  I get my roots touched up about every 4-5 weeks because believe it or not, I am pretty much a Blondie.. not a pretty blonde.. its kind of an ashy dirty blonde, so I like to color it darker.
For those asking the colors she does on my roots are a 3N.  This last visit was a little different because I wanted to go lighter.  I recently got Laced Hair Extensions (obsessed by the way) put in and I got 1 blonde bag, 2 ombre, 2 medium blonde, and 2 dark brown bags, so I have a total of 7 bags of I-tip 22 inch extensions in.. seems like a lot, but it works out perfect for me because I have really thin hair, so one of the reasons I started getting them was for the volume, but now I am addicted and get it for the length too.  If you are looking to get these I would highly recommend getting at least 5 bags, otherwise it won’t look right and look to thin.  At least thats been my experience getting these the past few years.

So, to start with the color, Chelsey had to blend in the ombre look with my hair, because I had streaks of blonde in my hair from the blonde extensions.
She started with the roots, and with the dark touched up the top of the blonde to blend in.   After that she put in bleach in my bangs to blend it in with the front blonde pieces, then we processed.  After that she toned it out.
If you are looking to get the best longest lasting color of your life.. go to her!
The color and products they use are called Davines.  It is an organic line from Italy and just fabulous.
I basically want Chelsey to live at my house so she can do my hair every day and style it haha. 🙂

SUMMER VACAY IN CANCUN

IMG_9400

TOP: VAVA BY JOY HAN VIA REVOLVE CLOTHING
SKIRT: ZARA (OLD, BUT CUTE HERE, HERE, HERE)
SHOES: CHINESE LAUNDRY VIA NORDSTROM
LIPS: RELENTLESSLY RED
EXTENSIONS: LACED HAIR (ITIP 22 INCHES)

Hi guys!  Sorry it’s been so long since I have posted.  I had been enjoying my vacation to the fullest last week.  I just got back from a week long vacation in Cancun, and it was so relaxing and fun.
Excuse the frizzy hair, it is so incredibly humid and hot there.  All I did was blow dry it because there was no use is straightening or curling!  What helped tame them a little bit was my new Laced hair extensions I got put in before my vacation.  I used 7 bags of the itip 22 inch extensions.  I love them!

So funny and sad story about this top.. I took it out of its packaging all excited to wear it that night, and it was super wrinkly so I pulled out the iron, and I should’ve read the label of how to take care of it beforehand.  Well, I burnt a hole right through it!  So sadly this top is goner for me, so don’t iron yours!  Dry clean only, haha!
But this top is so cute and fits perfect!

Thanks for reading!  Have a great day!
