_DSC7718ashleebrookephotoI am a huge fan of green smoothies.  I feel wrong if I go a day or two without drinking them haha.  It has become a habit, and you should get into this habit too, because it is super healthy and makes your skin glow.  Seriously it does.

I started drinking them about 3 years ago every single day, and I have tested out a few and gotten ideas from different websites and juice shops.  This recipe is what I have been drinking the past month and I am obsessed.  I usually switch it up after a while because I get bored, but here it is.

This will make 2 servings.

Step 1. Pour 1 cup Coconut Milk, and 1 cup water.

Step 2. add as many greens as possible. I use Kale and Spinach, so grab about two big handfuls of each and pack it in the blender.

Step 3.  Add in 1 cup raspberries, and 1 cup frozen mango.  I got my frozen mango from Costco.

Step 4. Add in 2 tablespoons of flaxseed.  I ran out of Chia Seed, but I put 2 tablespoons of that too.

Step 5. Blend away and enjoy!

I usually drink this in the afternoon.  I don’t usually have time in the mornings with the babe, but Its packed with nutrients and you can get your daily veggies and fruits.

This recipe is meant for two, but if you just want it for one cut the recipe in half.

I use the BLENDTEC which by the way is the BEST blender I have ever had.  I personally like blending rather than juicing because I feel like juicing takes important nutrients out of the drink.  This blender will blend it right up and is SO fast.  It doesn’t leave any gritty texture.
