I threw this shower for my sister last Summer and it ended up being so cute, sweet and simple, but looks fancy!  I wanted to give her something to remember all while sticking within the budget of course.  I hopped on Etsy and got these cute little doughnut treat bags for a little detail and customization to the shower.  Her name and wedding date was on them.   Breaking down how to organize and come up with the theme and what to get next.

  1. COME UP WITH A THEME.  This one was a Bridal Brunch, having it in the early afternoon and obviously breakfast/brunch foods.  We went with doughnuts that were the color of her wedding, a bagel bar, fruit kabobs, mimosas and made a cute “Mimosa Bar”  , and of course Jojos Chocolate bars & rose because why not.  SO simple and sweet.
  2. DO IT IN HER COLORS. Throw the shower in her wedding colors.  I contacted the florist she was having do her wedding and had her made a eucalyptus garland like she is for her wedding, and put that across the food table.   Then I went and bought a bouquet of pink roses and scattered that across the table.  Her colors were blush with more greenery vibe.
  3. MAKE IT FANCY.  without costing a ton!  I borrowed all of the nice plates from a friends mom, the cake holders, plates etc.  Everything to hold the food.  You can also rent them from a wedding rental place thats local to you.  Or I’ll link some for you below if you feel like investing in them!  They actually really come in handy.  I’ve already used these plates for several parties, so it’s worth it if you throw lots of parties.   My friend also brought in her rug from her house, nice chair, nice bench and we threw pillows all over the place to make it look cozy.  We used EVERYTHING from our homes.

Do those 3 things when planning a party and she’ll absolutely love it and it always looks more expensive than it was!

So I just got two paper towel holders and stuck the bagels on those to display, then had the toppings to the side with the cream cheeses in little bowls.
