MY HOSPITAL BAG CHECKLIST

When I was pregnant with Oaks I had my bag packed at 36 weeks.  This time around I’m not feeling that pressure.  I don’t feel a sense of urgency with it because guess what?  You REALLY don’t need that much.  There is so much pressure around the hospital bag thing.  Also, if you did forget anything, you can just have your husband go grab it for you.  So really, don’t stress about it.   My hospital bag is SO simple.  I hardly used anything in my bag last time.  I thought the baby need so many different outfits… but they’re usually just in a onsie swaddled the whole time.

SO TO MY FIRST TIME MOMMAS- YOU REALLY DON’T NEED AS MUCH AS YOU THINK!

FOR MAMA

SNACKS FOR AFTER (if you want specific things like me)

FOR BABY

So for my list!  As you can see it’s ALL BASICS.  The more simple you can make it, the better!  I didn’t bring shape wear underwear last time, but I heard they’re amazing to have.  The nursing bra I just bought and LOVE IT.  Probably one of my favorites!  When I had Oaks, I just had cheap ones that sucked bad, so I wanted to get a better quality one this time around.  I’ll probably end up buying more but want to see how that one goes first.

With the make up, I kept is so simple. All basics.  Just things to make me look alive!  Then I’ve got my basic face regimen in there.  C collagen serum, cleanser and a moisturizer with SPF when I go home.  ALSO the lip mask you have to get! That is a big one for me.  Makes your lips so soft and I use it as a gloss too.

If you’re a slippers and socks person you need to bring those to keep you cozy!  I like to bring a cute robe just for fun.  Nothing hefty or thick!  Just a light silky robe.  Plus it makes it super easy to nurse too.

Other things you’re going to need to remember to bring is your insurance card and drivers license!

As for the baby things!  You don’t need a lot!  Just a cute swaddle for a photo, and headband.  Then of course a going home outfit, and I want her to use the pacifiers I’m going to want her to get used to, and not the ugly hospital ones.  Other than that, they provide diapers.  Just a little tip too, my friend was telling me to take all the diapers every time they load them up! You’re paying the hospital a crap load, so you might as well load up on the diapers!
