GUYS how cute is my minnie beetle juice!? Kinda dying.  Before you keep scrolling, I’ll give you a little background story on this skellie he’s holding in the ENTIRE thing.  It has nothing to do with beetle juice, actually haha.  He just literally won’t let it go.  He loves everything skellie, and ghosts, and punkins.  He’s so beyond obsessed with everything Halloween that I really don’t want it to end.  I’m not joking when I say he hasn’t let it go.  He’ll hold onto it the entire day.  It’s like his creepy teddy bear haha.  He’s probably going to be carrying that thing around on Christmas time. I wonder what kind of mom I’m going to look like… guess I’ll glue a Santa hat on it? haha.  Anyways, keep scrolling and I’ll break down the outfit details and how the hell I painted my toddlers face..!

FACE PAINT- WHITE / BLACK / GREEN / GREEN HAIR SPRAY

You’re probably wondering… “how in the HELL did you paint your toddlers face?”  The answer is, lots of self talk, lots of patience, lots of breaks, lots of deep breaths, lots of bribing, lots of smearing on my clothes, lots of messes…. it was everything you think it was.  NOT ideal and not fun haha. But it can be done!  He’s been through this twice, and tomorrow he’s going through it again.  I got the paint that dries so he couldn’t rub it off.  The green hairspray was so easy, in fact, he LOVED that part and kept wanting me to do it, so that’s why the hair is on point.  The black and white part… that was very interesting.  But doable.  Like I said, lots of breaks and patience.  I just used my fingers to paint it on and he seemed to do better with that, instead of me trying to use a make up brush. He was NOT about that.   What I did was, pretend like I was giving him tickles on the face (which he loves) and it sort of worked, until he was smarter than me haha.

So for the outfits- I had a lady here in my town make the costume, just showed her a picture from pinterest and she made it.  Super super ideal and it only cost me $20.  I highly recommend having someone make costumes for your little one.

MY OUTFIT- TOP / TUTU SKIRT / TIGHTS / BOOTS

NECKLACE / VEIL / WIG

So I got my top, tights from Forever 21, my tutu skirt was from amazon and the veil I made because I didn’t have enough time to order the one I linked.  I also should’ve ordered the wig on amazon because its cheaper there!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

xoxo,

SARA LYNN
