This day, was the BEST day, and so happy with how it turned out.
His theme was “Where the Wild Things Are” .
His “Wild One”.
It was a small little party with our close family, just how we liked it.
It was so funny, because when I put the cake in front of his face, he just stared at it and had no idea what to do.
He poked at it for a few minutes, so I finally fed him a piece and then he started licking his fingers, and then dived in a little.
I have learnt about him, that he doesn’t like getting dirty, at least he doesn’t like frosting all over his hands. He kept looking at his hands like “what the?”.
So, we didn’t get your typical crazy baby cake smash, but he still got a little dirty.
Opening presents was super funny too, he just would stare at everything… blank stare, and you would get a few smirks here and there.
He is very shy, and it takes him a while to warm up to people, so I think everyone watching him made him timid.
Anyways, the airplane was his favorite toy, as you can see. He was loving that thing, and he still does!
After everyone left, he got this little monkey, when you push buttons, it dances and sings. He got it from grandpa.
So I was dancing with him and he was laughing and laughing, running all over the yard with his hands in the air.
Then we ate lots of cupcakes, and had a little after party. I then realized how shy this little guy was.
So, onto the details of the party. I found most of my ideas off Pinterest, then kinda put my own creativity into it.
The banner “A WILD ONE” you see on the table I got from Etsy. There are a few you can chose from.
The balloons I just got from Partyland, and got a white 18 inch balloon, and 21 inch. Then “ONE” spelled out with colored balloons.
The floral leaves you see hanging onto the balloons, I had my florist Rachel make, and just hooked them onto the string. Make sure they aren’t to heavy for the balloon or it will weigh the balloon down. Check out Rachel’s INSTAGRAM, she is located in Utah.
Sweet Tooth Fairy, made his Cake and Cupcakes, and they were SO good, like ridiculously good. Everyone loved them! Especially the birthday boy.
I did a Naked Cake and bought his cake topper off etsy, and had Rachel get me those leaves to put on and around his cake. They did an amazing job, and just what I wanted.
I wanted it simple and cute. I love naked cakes because you can do what you want with them.
The tent details, I got from Tnees Tpees. Loved this tent, and it still sits in his room exactly the way it looks now with just all his stuffed animals underneath. He loves it.
The leaves arrangement you see around it, I had Rachel create, and this time had her make a fake one, so I could keep it in his room like that.
From his First Birhthday shoot, I loved it so much and wanted it like that all the time! I had a real one at his shoot.
The white rug underneath the tent is from Costco, I got last year. I think they still have them. Only $100 for that cute thang.
The cute Signs “Oaks King of all Wild Things” and “I’ll Eat You Up I Love you So” was created by Owls and Oleanders Art. She drew Oaks Nursery photos too. She does an amazing job and SO quick.

All the little snacks I grabbed from Costco, cheese, meat, crackers. Also, grapes, and pineapple, and then had those little pre-made sandwiches.
His highchair is from Nuna. I love the modern look to it, and its been perfect for him.
