MY COFFEE ADDICTION IS REAL GIRL, IT’S REAAL.  If you don’t drink caffeine, GO YOU.  If you’re a coffee lover this one is for you.  I call this my little afternoon treat.   Barista in the house though.  Anytime my friends come over I offer them my lovely frothed heaven drink.   It’s also way less calories than your regular coffee, and little to no sugar.  Very easy to make, so here we go.  First and foremost, if you don’t have a milk steamer, it’s not going to live up to it’s expectation.  You can use a handheld frother, but it’s definitely not warm and foamy like a milk steamer/frother is going to do. BUT, I did find one that heats and froths that you can buy for $16 HERE.   I don’t know how it is because I’ve never used, but it looks good to me!  I use DELONGHI Espresso machine.  I’ve loved it!

STEP 1: BREW YOUR COFFEE.  So every 1 tbsp coffee, you do 2 cups water.  I usually do 1-1/2 scoops and 3 cups water.  I don’t usually have that much but I like to keep it on hand. I use this Coffee Scooper to measure my coffee.  Then I use Starbuck Dark Roast grinded coffee

STEP 2: MILK MIX:  Add in 1 cup Unsweented Vanilla Almond Milk, 1 tbsp Hazelnut or Vanilla Almond Milk Creamer, 1/2 Syringe of Vanilla Creme Sweet Drops, sprinkle of cinnamon into your Frothing Pitcher.  Stick it under the frother and let it foam up and steam your milk.  I use this Temperature Gadget and stick it in the milk.  It will tell me how hot it’s getting.  I wait until it says 120.  That seems to be the perfect amount.  You can use this Frothing Wand or this Frothing Wand with a steamer.  If you don’t use one that heats it up, heat up your milk mix over stove top, or microwave until heated.  Then froth it with your wand.

STEP 3:  POUR IT IN.  Add in about 1 cup of brewed coffee into a large MUG, about 20oz.  You want to make room for the frothed goodness..  Then add your Milk Mix on top and slowly pour it in.

THATS IT.  So easy once you have all your gadgets and devices.  I make this probably twice a day.  Helps me dominate all my daily tasks and gets me through that afternoon slump.  I also drink it more as an afternoon treat.  Helps kick the sugar cravings.

I added my creamer in this GLASS CONTAINER and some goes for my Almond Milk, it makes the fridge look more organized.  I drink my milk pretty quick, so I don’t have to worry about expiration dates.  It’s gone in a week, sometimes just a few days.

  1. I make my own lattes at home and usually just add unsweetened almond milk, stevia drops, and cinnamon (and froth it using a mixer). I’m going to have to try adding some almond milk creamer for extra richness!
