HEALTHY EATS: PROTEIN PANCAKES

IMG_9330
My good friend introduced me to these protein pancakes a few weeks ago, and I literally have had them for breakfast everyday ever since.  It feels like I am cheating, it’s that good!  The recipe kinda sounds funky, but just trust me on this!  It’s a great way to get your protein in for the day, and it keeps you feeling full.  I have come to learn along the way that breakfast is the most important part of the day.  It will change your whole day, and you won’t get as hungry as fast throughout your day.
I always make time for this meal, because it is my absolute favorite meal of the day!  It’s good motivation to get myself out of bed haha.  If you are on the go, just make it the night before and put it in some tupperware, or I usually just mix the ingredients at night and throw it on the pan in the morning, and put it in some tupperware.  It literally will take you only 10 minutes!Follow recipe below, also pictures of what you need.

Here is a list of what you will need
1. Magic bullet, or blender
2. Dry Oats
3.  Cottage Cheese (I use fat free)
4. 2 eggs
5. Cinnamon
6. Pure Vanilla
7.  Measuring cupsToppings
1. Maranatha Peanut Butter (my favorite)
2. Walden Farms calorie free blueberry sryup (local whole foods, or sprouts)
3. Fresh blueberries

Nutritional facts
284 calories
9 grams fat
23 carbs
30 grams protein
Step 1- Separate 2 egg whites from yolks and pour into blender.
Step 2- Pour 1/4 cup of oats into the blender
Step 3-  Pour 1/4 cup cottage cheese into the blender
Step 4- Pour a dash of pure vanilla into blender
Step 5- Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon to your liking (I like a lot)
Step 6- Blend all ingredients together, and pour on pan.  It should take about 1 minute per side to cook, but when it starts to bubble, it’s usually ready.
Add toppings to your liking, I use 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, and BAM deliciousness heaven in your mouth, and your day just somehow becomes perfect after that!  They are wonderful if you are sick of your plain old eggs whites, and toast, or protein shake, or oatmeal.  Please give them a try! Also, another secret is to put them in your blender overnight, and they will be more fluffy when you make them in the morning.
If you are wanting a little more, and I sometimes do this, just double the recipe, so 1/2 cup of everything, and I use 3 egg whites.

Who says you can’t enjoy life and eat good delicious healthy food that you don’t feel hungry afterwards?!  These changed my life, and I hope they changed yours!
Post your comments below!  I want to know how you liked them!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog!  It is very much appreciated!

FITNESS: KETTLE BELL COMBO

Hello everyone!  We all need a little motivation to get our week started, and back into our routine.  I know I definitely do!  The hardest part about working out is actually getting yourself to get up and go.  Find something that motivates you, whether it be some cute running shoes, or a cute work out top, or just a simple quote on the screen saver of your phone that you can constantly glance at, and repeat in your head.  Trust me it works!  I know those helps me!
We all have our off days, even if your not feeling it that day, get dressed and go, and the first 5 minutes in you will be good to go!
In this video I am only showing one side of my body, but make sure you are doing the other side as well doing the exact same thing.  I will explain that in the video.
In this video I am doing 10 reps of each exercise using a 20 pound kettle bell.  You can go lighter, or heavier, but if you go lighter I would recommend doing more reps of each.
Now, you will do one side, then ab combo, then the other side, and ab combo after.  That is one round.  Do 3 rounds or more if you want a more intense work out, but do 3 rounds!  I promise you will feel awesome after you finish.  You can do it!  Even if it takes you a little longer, just push yourself!
