BRA / PANTS / BOMBER / NIKES (OBSESSED!)

BAG / POM POM

I wanted to talk more about Macros today, lovely macros.

A lot of you have been personally messaging me (which I LOVE btw) I love interacting with all of you on a personal level.  That is what I do this for, that is what I LOVE.  Getting to talk with all of you, and helping you feel happy and healthy, and your best self!

Back to what I was saying, so you all have a lot of questions about macros.   I totally get it, as I had not a clue in the world what it even meant when I first started.

I did a post HERE explaining how macros work and what not.  Please please read it, if you’re confused.

Everyone is different in what their body needs.  It depends on your personal goals, how much you move everyday.  How much muscle you have.  Each person burns a certain number of calories in a 24 hr period, depending on those things.

If you have more muscle, you’re going to burn through calories like crazy.

I have been counting my macros for about 5 years now, and I recently upped mine to about 1900 calories a day.  I found myself to be STARVED all the time.  That was my bodies way of telling me to freaking EAT MORE.

So, you need to listen to your body.   I got way to obsessed with it for the first few years.   I personally didn’t find it to be healthy for myself, to be so obsessed with counting down to a the EXACT number every single day..

This was until now that I have realized that it was way to much of an obsession, and I don’t want to live my life by a number.

BUT after doing it for so long, I just kinda know whats in what, and what numbers I should be hitting around.  I know my body enough now, to where I know when I need more food and when I don’t.

I chose healthy choices always.  Its simple.  Chose sweet potatoes verses french fries. Etc.. etc..

So that isn’t to say counting down to the exact number is wrong or doesn’t work, but you don’t have to count your macros to look good and feel good.  Just chose healthy choices and portion control!  Don’t overeat.  Don’t eat to junk (refined sugars, fried foods, candy, sweets.. etc) READ LABELS.  Research an ingredient if it doesn’t sound right.

Get a food scale to help you like the one HERE.  Measure out your foods and make sure you’re not overeating.  4 oz of meat, is usually the size of your palm.

If you’re wanting to lose weight, it is crucial to portion control.

My 7 DAY MEAL PLAN is macro friendly, and you can make it your own.  It isn’t designed to fit everyones individual needs, it is to give you ideas!

I wrote down exactly what I ate for 7 days, and that is what it is!  It’s very efficient and easy meals!

So I am all for counting your macros!  I still do, BUT my point is to this whole thing is don’t obsess to the point where you’re making yourself unhappy.  Do you and what works for you!

Give macros a try and maybe it will make you happy.  It does for me, in a way that I don’t obsess anymore.  Say  If I eat over 20 carbs “of what I was supposed to eat” I don’t freak out or let it ruin my day, like I used to.

My point is, live life healthy, happy, make good choices and be active!

If you want to calculate yours, I recommend going HERE.  That will give you your personally calories that you burn everyday, so you can see how much your body needs.  Read through their site too.  This isn’t sponsored by the way.  I just really recommend that site!  It explains it pretty good!

Anyways, I think at this point I am ranting haha.  Please let me know if you have any questions!  Feel free to comment below, or personally email me!  Happy to answer any questions you have about it.

Ps.. this gym gear is one of my new favorites!  Called ONZIE.  They’re so light and moveable.  I don’t feel trapped in them, or hot.

Have a great day!

xoxo,

Sara Lynn
