MY RUNNING SHOES

I’m always working out, running and chasing Oaks around, or out and about running errands. Life doesn’t seem to get any less busy these days. I always find myself having a hard time finding a good running shoe. DSW has such great budget friendly prices that you really can’t beat. I love New Balance and always have, but I haven’t tried their running shoes until now! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to find a nice pair of running shoes. This pair I’m wearing is so comfortable!

So back to my story: I’m always on the go. You guys know this about me. I wake up at 6am, get ready for the gym and need to jump right back into more comfortable wear. You really won’t find me wearing anything but sneakers these days… that’s mom life for ya, right?

(MY SHOESI love that New Balance has a dressed-up sneaker vibe too, so I can quickly come home, shower and throw them on to meet dad for a quick family lunch. I always need easy and cute, yet efficient and that’s what these are! They’re a pair of sneakers you can wear with something that’s a little more “fancy” like a cute sweater, button up, or pullover sweater. I love the burgundy color I’ve got on!

(OAKS SHOES) And yes, Oaks totally sits up on the table for lunch. That’s toddler life for you. It’s really the only way we can get him to sit still while mom and dad enjoy their lunch! DSW also has cute little shoes for your toddler including these (which Oaks won’t take off because he loves them so much). He’s been running all over the place with them!

(TJ’S SHOE) Same goes for TJ. He also has been running all over with them like a toddler (haha jk) but really, he loves the pair he’s wearing! You’ve got to check them out. Don’t we all want affordable, yet easy AND cute? That’s a DONE deal for me. The whole fam will enjoy them!

MY RUNNING SHOE / MY DATE SHOE

TJ’ SHOES / OAKS SHOES

I love my lunch dates and days spent with my sweet boys! After this lunch date, we walked around and rode the ferris wheel (which Oaks wasn’t amused and TJ hates heights), but on a good note, Oaks rode up and down the escalators for a good 30 minutes while TJ shopped around. He was running all over the place and jumping on and off the escalators! He honestly loves the comfort of these shoes. They’re all under $100 and the kids’ shoes are under $50 at DSW.

Let me know what you guys think! Do you shop at DSW

Have a great day!

XOXO,

SARA LYNN

Whose ready for some pie eating though?  I know I am!

I wanted to talk with you about “Holiday Eating” and how to “stay on track”.

I put that in quotations… because, well, it’s just really hard to stay on track during the Holidays.

BUT  I will tell you this.  You can still enjoy it while staying on track.  You might gain a couple pounds… or three, BUT don’t let it get crazy out of control.

When I say this, I mean.. don’t go on a binge fest for a whole week, eating leftovers and what not.

My week this week, is to eat my 7 DAY MEAL PLAN, and by Thursday, I am going to enjoy the day to the fullest and not worry about, but I also don’t like to stuff my face to where I feel sick.

For December, and the whole month, I will eat my meal plan, and save my cheat meal for whatever Holiday foods I want by the weekend.  Sometimes I will cheat twice on Holiday weekends, but I will try not to over eat or binge out.

That’s what I mean by keeping it under control.  Eat slow, listen to your body, and enjoy, and STOP when you’re feeling full.  Or don’t, it’s all up to you!  These are just tips and suggestions.

Also, I am upping my cardio this week to help me stay on track.  I feel that has helped a lot in the past!

Most importantly, just enjoy and don’t be to worried about it.   Hit the gym in the morning, and the next day, and work a little harder!

This post plays a lot into my post about Vacations “STAYING ON TRACK, WHILE STILL ENJOYING”

 Have a great day!
